GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT EPIC SKI TOUR<\/h4>

1 – Organisation<\/strong>

\n2 \u2013 Conditions for participation<\/strong>
\nParticipants must have at least 18 years at the date of the first race of the event. Participants have to satisfy all the physical conditions required for this event with high competitive level and have present, when picking up their starting number, a valid certificate of sports doctor<\/u> and super green pass<\/u> (you have to be recovered ore vaccinated! Beeing tested is not enough!). In any other case the start is not allowed. In this case the organizational contribution is not returned. Participants accept without the responsibility conditions, relinquishing any legal action against the Organizing Committee. Participation is at your own risk!<\/p>\n

3 \u2013 Locations, date, time, start-finish<\/strong><\/p>\n

The event will take place in Trento and at the Monte Bondone.<\/p>\n

The start will take place in multiple groups:<\/p>\n

  • Saturday, 22nd<\/sup> January 2022: 05.30 pm, Monte Bondone (Loc. Vason)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    4 \u2013 Time Limits<\/strong>
    \nThe race has a maximum time.
    \nParticipants who do not reach the various intermediate \/ arrival points in the allotted time are in any case excluded and do not appear in the final ranking.<\/p>\n

    5 \u2013 Division into age groups<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Women: Overall, Master (> 40)<\/li>\n
    • Men: Overall, Master (> 40), Grand Master (> 50)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      6 \u2013 Participants under 18<\/strong>
      \nThe race is also open to athletes who are 16 years old on the day of the race with express consent in writing by those who exercise parental responsibility (former parental authority) over the athlete. At the time of distribution of the bib due to the registered minor, the “parental manager” must be present and must sign a disclaimer of liability for non negligence against the organization on behalf of the minor child for any injuries, accidents or fortuitous events that may involve your child – or the minor for whom you are responsible – during the course of the race or during the return to the valley in case of abandonment. The organizers decline any responsibility within the limits of the current regulations for what may happen to the minor after the race. At the end of the competition, or of any abandonment, the minor will be returned by the track staff to the responsible adult companion. With this return, any related custody obligation on the part of the organizers will cease.
      \nWhen collecting the bib, it is mandatory to present the medical certificate of sporting fitness valid on the day of the race. The departure of the male and female \u201cyouth category\u201d competitors is scheduled at the same time as that for adult athletes. All the athletes of the “youth category” are in any case required to respect the competition rules in force in every part.<\/p>\n

      7 \u2013 Prize Money<\/strong>
      \nIn total there is a prize money of \u20ac 7.900,00.<\/p>\n

      8 \u2013 Distribution Starter Packages\u2028<\/strong>
      \nThe distribution of the starter packages will take place:
      \nSaturday, 22nd<\/sup> January: 02.00 pm \u2013 05.00 pm (Monte Bondone Loc. Vason)
      \nPlease bring with you a valid medical certificate. The starting numbers can not be given to other people.<\/p>\n

      9 \u2013 Prize-Giving<\/strong>
      \nThe Prize-Giving ceremony will take place on
      \nSaturday, 22nd<\/sup> January: 10.00 pm, (Piazza Duomo, Trento)<\/p>\n

      10 \u2013 Publication of the ranking<\/strong>
      \nThe ranking is published on the internet demo.epicskitour.com<\/p>\n

      11 \u2013 Timing<\/strong>
      \nSDAM is responsible for timekeeping. It will be used an electronic chip system.<\/p>\n

      12 \u2013 Privacy<\/strong>
      \nSimultaneously with the registration, the athlete authorizes that the personal data, sensitive and non-sensitive, released by him, can be used for all purposes that are directly or indirectly linked to the EPIC Ski Tour. Furthermore, each participant in the race authorizes the organizer to use the images, photos and interviews for promotion without being entitled to remuneration.

      EQUIPMENT<\/h2>

      The races take place on the sci slope. YOU DON\u2019T NEED special tools such as shovel, beeper and probe but an approved ski touring helmet, Headlamp,<\/strong> mobile phone and super green pass are MANDATORY<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>[\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row disable_element=”yes” el_id=”subscription”][vc_column]

      REGISTRATION<\/h4>

      1 \u2013 Registration<\/strong>
      \nOnline registration (www.epicskitour.com) with payment by credit card, Paypal or bank transfer.

      \nThe enrollment is considered valid only after receiving the payment of the enrollment fee.
      \nThe registration is personal. For changing the name of an athlete, a processing fee of \u20ac 15.00 will be charged.<\/p>\n

      2 \u2013 Registration Fee<\/strong><\/p>\n

      VERTICAL Race<\/strong>

      The chip has to be returned at the end of the races for the refund of the deposit.
      \nIn case you shouldn’t bring back the chip there will be a fine of 80\u20ac.<\/p>\n

      3 \u2013 Payment<\/strong>
      \nThe payment has to be on our bank account before the first race.<\/p>\n

      4 \u2013 Refund<\/strong>
      \nIf a participant does not show up at the start he\/she has any right for a reimbursement of the registration fee. If the event does not take place for reasons of force majeure, extreme weather conditions or any other reason not indebted by the organization, the fee will not be refunded, nor recognized for the following year. ATTENTION: If the race should not take place due to a law because of the Corona Virus polemic the registration fee will be credited for next year!<\/u><\/p>\n

      5 \u2013 Registration deadline<\/strong>

      \nIn exceptional cases the OC can accept the enrollment of an athlete after the deadline.

      EQUIPMENT<\/h4>

      1- Skis<\/strong>
      \nA pair of skis. Ski length must be at least 160cm for men and 150cm for women. The skis will be measured according to the method \u201cRolling\u201d.<\/p>\n

      2 \u2013 Boots
      \n<\/strong>Ski mountaineering Boots – cross country or other boots are forbidden<\/p>\n

      3 \u2013 Bindings
      \n<\/strong>Bindings which allow heel movement during ascents and are blocked for descents; they may or may not be equipped with security straps.<\/p>\n

      4 \u2013 Ski Poles<\/strong>
      \nA pair of alpine or cross-country ski poles (carbon or other material) of a maximum diameter of 25 mm, and with non-metallic baskets.<\/p>\n

      5 \u2013 Survival Blanket<\/strong>
      \nA survival blanket. The term \u201csurvival blanket\u201d is as defined by the manufacturer.<\/p>\n

      6 \u2013 Rucksack<\/strong>
      \nA rucksack with sufficient capacity to hold all the equipment required by the regulation.<\/p>\n

      7 \u2013 Skins<\/strong>
      \nA pair of removable anti-slipping skins. The skins of wild animal origin are strictly forbidden. Everyone has to bring a second pair of skins with them (reserve).<\/p>\n

      8 \u2013 Clothing<\/strong>
      \nUpper body clothing: three layers that fit the competitor well:<\/p>\n

        \n
      • 1 long or short-sleeved, body-hugging layer<\/li>\n
      • 1 ski suit with long-sleeves or a second layer with long-sleeves<\/li>\n
      • 1 breathable, long-sleeved wind breaker.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Lower body clothing: two long-legged layers that fit the competitor well<\/p>\n

          \n
        • 1 ski suit or ski pants<\/li>\n
        • 1 breathable wind breaker trousers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          9 \u2013 Helmet<\/strong>
          \nA helmet conforming to: UIAA 106 and EN 1077 classB standards or EN 12492 and EN 1077 classB standards. Helmets must be used (chin-strap has to be fastened) during the whole race (from the start to the finish line).<\/p>\n

          10 \u2013 Mobile Phone<\/strong>
          \nEach athlete has to take with him during the race his mobile phone. The mobile phone must stay on during the entire race. You have to indicate your phone number during the registration.<\/p>\n

          11 – Head Torch<\/strong>
          \nA head torch in full working order, fixed on the helmet.<\/p>\n

          12 \u2013 Various<\/strong><\/p>\n

            \n
          • A pair of gloves that cover all the hand up to the wrist \u2013 to be worn throughout the duration of the race<\/li>\n
          • An UV-protection sunglasses<\/li>\n
          • A ski cap or headband<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            Equipment will be inspected at the finish line or at any other point on the course (without stopping the competitor, the controller takes note as the competitor goes past).
            \nThe competitor is totally responsible for his\/her equipment. If a competitor has doubts about his\/her equipment, he\/she can have it checked by the jury at the end of the race briefing the day before the competition.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>[vc_separator][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row disable_element=”yes” el_id=”race”][vc_column]

            RACE<\/h4>

            1 \u2013 Race Bibs<\/strong>
            \nMust be placed in a good visible position (1 on the right leg, 1 on the back of the rucksack)<\/p>\n

            2 \u2013 Transition Areas<\/strong>
            \nSkins can be changed only in the designated areas without any external help. Fix and mobile check points will be set up along the race route, the race bibs of the athletes breaking this rule will be signaled by the jury for their immediate disqualification.<\/p>\n

            3 \u2013 Abandoning of equipment or rubbish<\/strong>
            \nIt is absolutely forbidden to throw away rubbish or leave equipment outside the change areas.<\/p>\n

            4 \u2013 Signage of the race route<\/strong>
            \nIt will be signaled by means of flags, reflecting tape, flashing and torch lights.<\/p>\n

            5 \u2013 Mutual help<\/strong>
            \nIn case of need, participant must help each other.<\/p>\n

            6 \u2013 Withdrawl<\/strong>
            \nIt is compulsory to communicate one\u2019s withdrawal from the competition at the intermediate point or to staff members along the racetrack.
